Fortune Tobacco Corporation

The country's leading cigarette manufacturer, Fortune energized the local tobacco industry and today maintains a large following in the local cigarette market.

The first Fortune plant was a small building cramped with second hand machines atop a hill in Barrio Parang Marikina. The first structure was a hut made of old scrap lumber and used GI sheets.

From a small factory with two second hand cigarette making machines in 1966, it has grown to become the four-plant mammoth of today, housing more than 300 state-of-the-art cigarette making and packing machines.

Producing affordable but high quality has been the lynchpin of FortuneĆs corporate growth. Its best- selling brands include: Hope, Champion, Winston, Salem, Camel, More, Fortune, Boss and others.
